Dysons Driving Interleague
Dysons Bus Company have secured the rights as the official interleague transport company for AFL Goulburn Murray partner Leagues for the next three years.
The partnership will see partner Leagues using Dysons transport to travel to their away interleague clashes as part of the AFL Victoria Community Championships.
AFL Goulburn Murray Region General Manager Martin Gleeson welcomed the innovative new partnership.
“Dysons are a very reputable transport company and we are excited to be able to partner with them to serve the needs of our partner Leagues over the next three years” he said.
“Interleague is a very important program in each League but the transportation of players and officials to away games is a significant cost that must be met.”
“This is particularly relevant this year with the KDFNL travelling to Colac, GVL football travelling to Melbourne, GVL netball going to Yarrawonga and the Northern Country Women’s League playing their interleague clash against Central Victoria in Bendigo.”
“Through the support of Dysons the significant cost of transportation has been dealt with and each League knows they will be travelling in safety and comfort.”
Dysons Shepparton Depot Manager Roy Dyson is pleased to be able to support community football and netball in this way.
“As a family business Dysons have a deep understanding of the importance of local sport and the important role it plays in the community” he said.
“We have a strong affinity with local clubs and community sport and this partnership will help us put something back to the community we live and work in as well as celebrating the prestige of representative football and netball.”
“Interleague is the chance for the best players to come together and represent their club and their League and we are excited to be able to be a part of it and help out.”
