Workforce Planner

Due to expansion and operational growth, Dyson has created a new Workforce Planning Coordinator position.  This exciting new role is based at our Bundoora head office and becomes part of the Planning and Scheduling team.
The role
The purpose of this role is to deliver a sustainable resource planning cycle to ensure the business is able to meet operational commitments. This role is responsible for the long-term and short-term forecasting of people and fleet resources.  This role will support multiple contracts from Metropolitan Services, School Bus Services, local Charter, VLine and Interstate Services run from multiple depots across Victoria.  
• Forecast driver and fleet requirements on a long term, monthly and weekly basis for both existing workload and future project work.
• Planned leave management
• Reporting planned vs actual costs for contracts
• Liaise with Public Transport Victoria and other key customers to both forward plan and ensure operational outcomes are achieved
• Liaise with Fleet services to jointly manage fleet capacity
• Assist in identifying training needs for drivers
• Maintain driver’s skills register within rostering system
• Assist in the reporting and internal audit requirements to confirm compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist in the identification of new business opportunities
• Provide effective instruction to drivers to ensure operational outcomes are achieved
• Ensure accurate completion of timesheets and relevant payroll data to capture operational activities of the day
• Provide a commitment to continuous improvement by ensuring corrective actions are followed for all non-conformances
About You
To be successful in this role you will have prior experience in a similar role, you will have detailed understanding of Workforce Planning methodology and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.  Prior exposure to scheduling tools would be advantageous. 
You must display a high level of integrity, business standards and confidentiality at all times.  You need previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and flourish when the pressure is on.
You need the ability to look at the bigger picture and assess risks and requirements to ensure the right resources are in place.  You will have an in depth understanding of driver fatigue rules.
You will possess an aptitude at modifying your interpersonal skills and styles to suit the respective audience, circumstance and agenda. You’ll work well both as a team member, autonomous individual contributor and role model. 
Prior experience and knowledge of the transport or health industries within Australia would be highly desirable.
